After reading various posts it seems the weather prior to us arriving and when we are there will play a big part in which areas we will be able to hike. So as far as any hikes are concerned I am thinking of not planning to much ahead of our arrival and visiting the local tourist info centre when we arrive for up to date trail info. My question is are the tourist info centre the right place to go for hiking info or are there any other outlets set up by the parks specifically for this kind of information. The Banff Tourist Info centre has good information on hikes. You can also see the online trail reports:. Banff – www.

A buddy and myself will be doing a road trip from the lmd out to Jasper then down to Banff for a couple days , then back to the lmd. My question is regarding tires. I know that for the highways and the icefields parkway you need a tire with the “3 peak symbol”. So if you need to be back for something important on March 18 there is a risk that you might not make it.
I hope I’ve covered everything, either way just making the trip because it’s on the bucket list to do this in winter. Done the summer trip a few times already. You need to download the maps when you have wifi. A quick question, I think it may be better to have two vehicles Totally overkill to have 2 vehicles. The big thing to remember is the speed limit is a suggestion not something you want to try to beat.
You really need to slow down for the conditions. Some of the speed limit signs are electronic now and change to the conditions. You really want to try to drive during daylight hours. Log in to get trip updates and message other travellers.

I was skeptical at first but my lovely wife gave me a nudge to try out this new gym she had been going to, I normally would have brushed it off but I had noticed how genuinely happy she was every time she came home, so I agreed to a couple drop in classes and figured that would be that.
Boy was I wrong first thing that grabbed my attention was how much the trainers want to know who you are and what you are about, and once they know they use it to motivate you and inspire you. The second thing is the functional way in which they get you to use your body, I am no spring chicken but I move better then I did 15 years ago. The third thing is the fact that they encourage you to try do things that you thought were out of reach and this crosses over nicely into the real world, or the not gym world, if someone gives me something outside of my comfort zone I jump at it now instead of making excuses.
I started out with conditioning classes, kettle bells , HIIT, an early morning rise and grind class and a phenomenal Obstacle course race training class.
